Clubs, teams, schools, regional and national selections in the traditional U12, U14, U16 and U18 categories for boys and girls. If you have a few players or female players who are older than this so that they can't play, or who make you "not fit" into one of the 12-18 categories, then there is a Men's and Women's OPEN category where anyone from 16 years old to "infinity" years old can compete. In the UNIVERSITY team category, it is crucial that the players are already students or have been accepted to a university (the team may or may not be made up of students from the same university-college). MASTER 40+ is a category for men over 40 years of age. here is a look at the annual category breakdown

Gender: boys/girls
Age: each category is open to male/female players who will be no older than the age of that age category and younger (12, 14, 16, 18 ) in the year of the tournament.
The oldest player / player in each catogry may be the one who was born no earlier than 1 January of the year in which he/she reaches the age in the category name (12, 14, 16, 18).

UNIVERSITY TEAMS
Gender: boys/girls
Age: not determined
Open to: students or those enrolled in university.
They do not have to be from the same university.
Represent your university/college.
Or get a bunch of handball players, college students together and go.
The tournament was created in 2017 as a collaboration between Interamnia World Cup and the University of Teramo.

OPEN MEN

Age: 16 - "99"
Minimum number of teams: 4
Can play: a player who already plays for a team in his category and is 16+
cannot play: 16-
Cat. MEN OPEN is a separate category and is for teams that do not have enough players for the U16 and U18 conditions

Age: 16 - "99"
Minimum number of teams: 4
Can play: a player who already plays for a team in his category and is 16+

MASTERS

Gender: men
Age: 40+
Minimum teams: 4
The organizers reserve the right to create two age categories (40+ and 50+) if the number of teams is higher.
RULES

Each team will play a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 9 matches. The regular season group matches are played Monday - Thursday.
SEMIFINALS
Matches will take place in the morning and afternoon of Friday and Saturday.
FINALS
Matches will take place in the morning and afternoon on Sunday.

Cat. A-C-D-H-I-L 2 x 20 minutes
All other categories 2 x 15 minutes 5 minute break.

MAIN RULES
The rules of the FIGH [Italian Handball Federation] and the IHF apply.
IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Each participant must have a passport or ID card or other identification (registration), which must be presented at each match.
The detailed and final schedule will be communicated to the teams later.
Interamnia World Cup reserves the right to announce any changes to the schedule and reject entries until 20 May, if there are not a minimum of 6 teams in each category.
Similarly, last entries will be rejected if accommodation and space capacities are exceeded.
FRIENDLY MATCHES
All teams may play friendly matches during their stay in Teramo or at other venues. The organisers are also willing to help with the programme of foreign teams wishing to arrive earlier or leave later or to extend their stay in Europe for handball tournaments before or after the "Interamnia World Cup".
REFEREES
The tournament will be conducted by Italian referees appointed by the Italian Handball Federation and by specially invited foreign referees.
AWARDS - TROPHIES
The best teams in each category will receive a cup and a trophy. The second, third and fourth teams will receive a trophy. Additional awards will also be given to teams, athletes and executives who play a significant role during the event.
